PERFORMANCES AT REAL TEATRO DE RETIRO
The Choreography Competition of Spanish Dance and Flamenco organised in Madrid (Certamen de Coreografía de Danza Española y Flamenco de Madrid) is a platform for performance, promotion, and a contest for original new choreographies. It is one of the most important flamenco competitions internationally and the birthplace of various generations of distinguished artists. The Real Teatro de Retiro is committed to advancing opera, music, and the arts in general, advocating flamenco, to give visibility to emerging artists in this genre. Winners and prize recipients of the 2023 competition will have the opportunity to present their new creations encouraging cutting-edge young artists.
